We know we must avoid connect more than one ground path in the whole measurement system.
So one should not connect any two chassis of instruments if all chassis of instruments are grounded.
But we find that the GPIB cable shield also connect the chassis ground of all instruments we need to remote.
Should we disconnect the ground of the power cord to avoid such kind of goround loop?
P.S. The attached picture shows what ground loop I mean.
