Oh yes, I already clicked in, but no, that is not the data sheet. That is a serial reference guide. I need to know more on how does the PCI08431/2 works, and that is on its data sheet.

As far as I know, there is no "data sheet". What is it about serial communication that you want to know about?

Oh, I though there was. It's because I'm going to connect an encoder (LMA10DC08B90F00) which uses serial communication, and I wanted to know how to do the interface to read it.

There would not have been anything in any data sheet for the 8431 even if it existed. All of the information on how to communicate would be in the manual for the device. It should specify com settings (baud rate,parity, etc), type of serial cable, and the protocol to read/write to the device.
