The Tecra 8100 fails the NI PCMCIA-GPIB startup test for sequential interfaces. Error indicators are that nipxi gets an I/O error on boot. Everything looks good in the Device Driver for the PCMCIA-GPIB board(no conflicts). Running a verified good program the reads & writes to a HP4408B Spectrum analyzer produces read errors for approximately 2/3 of all reads.
When I switched to a Dell Inspiration 2500 laptop, everything works correctly.
Has anyone else had problems with the Toshiba Tecra 8100 working correctly with PCMCIA boards? This isn't the first PCMCIA problem that I have had with this machine. Is there a fix?
