CDAQ-9188 on Embeded Windows XP

Hello,

I am able to connect to NI CDAQ-9188 and its modules using the NI " Measurement & Automation Explorer". I also

can run the TEST Panels and communicate with the modules installed in the CDAQ-9188.

But I can not run the TEST Panels when I connect the CDAQ-9188 to another computer that runs
on EMBEDED WINDOWS XP. The "Measuremet & Automation Explorer" see the CDAQ-9188 chassis and all

the modules that are installed in them. But it does not provide TEST PANELS for each module or a communication

to them.

Any idea what I need to do.

Thanks

Bobby

From the sound of it, you might not have all the drivers installed for the modules that you are using.  In order to help nail down where the problem lies I've got a few questions:

  • What modules are you using?
  • Could you provide a screenshot of the "Measurement & Automation Explorer" (MAX) where the missing "TEST PANELS" button should be.
  • What version of the DAQmx or NI-DAQ drivers you have installed?
  • How do you have Windows XP Embedded Installed? Is it on a desktop machine, or on custom target hardware?

I've included a few links to some resources related to National Instruments support for Windows XP Embedded, though from the sound of it, you might not need them:
