All our test cells have installed NI MAX 4.5 (on Windows 2003 Server). To interact with the devices we use NI488.2 (C++).
I'd like to add some functionalities to our test systems using VISA via python.
When I updated NI MAX to 15.5 (and enabled NI VISA 15.5) the driver for the GPIB-PCie card was also updated.
In device manager the Card was marked with a yellow exclamation mark (the card could not start).
So all necessary modules are installed but the card does not work with that driver.
I tried this several times, with uninstallation of the prior version and deleting the previous driver, but I never god
the card working with 15.5.
Now I want to try to only add the NI-VISA to the existing 4.5 installation of NI MAX.To do this I've only to install the NI Visa 4.5 runtime, am I right?
Hopefully the runtime will not update the driver.
