64-bit Installation - not seeing gpib device in /dev

The 64-bit beta installation from http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1000/lang/en went flawlessly.

According to /usr/local/natinst/ni4882/gpibexplorer the device GPIB0 exists and is working, but it doesn't seem to show up in /dev/ in format that iccap is looking for.

iccap is looking for /dev/gpib0 and the closest looking device is /dev/nipalk. What am I doing wrong?

This sounds like a there is a simple solution such as a symbolic link or something.

Hi Toulon,

Can you successfully run example programs with this card or communicate with your instrument via ibic?

Cheers,

Hi Toulon,

I also wanted to check to see if the iccap software that you are running is 32-bit or a 64-bit application?  The 488.2 driver has no 64-bit language interface, and thus is has kernel mode support only.
