Hi, I'm looking into the technical feasibility of setting up a Siemens S7-1200 PLC as my main controller, with an NI TCP-2230 as the front-end HMI. Can this be accomplished by adding the Touch Control Panel (TCP) as an Ethernet/IP device in the Siemens hardware and deploy a LabView runtime executable to serve as my HMI? Or in other words, can the TCP serve as a stand alone LabView computer without having a cRIO or a PxIE to talk to? Are there other licensing requirements I'll have to look into as well?
