Can you use the FPGA for Digital Inputs/Outputs if you are also using the CANOpen Module NI-9881 on the FPGA?

Hi All,

I'm looking to use a Digital Input and a Digital Output modules in the FPGA of a NI-9063 cRIO in addition to a CANOpen module (NI-9881) but from the following question/forum, it says that you need to run a blank VI on the FPGA. That will be difficult if I need to use it for the Digital Input/Output modules.

I have succesfully communicated with the CANbus slave using a blank VI in the FPGA but has anybody run both a NI-9881 and Digital Inputs/Outputs from the same FPGA?

Thanks,

Hello,

According to that KB, cRIO-9063 already support NI-9881 by default. It means you don't need to compile a blank bitfile firstly from LabVIEW 2015 with CompactRIO 15.0.

Thanks!
