What does Amber ACTIVE indicator mean on 5641?

Solved!
Go to solution

I am seeing an ACTIVE indicator light sometimes when running a VI on my 5641R.  It is not always present.  In the 5641R getting started guide, it indicates that an Amber light is not used for the ACTIVE indicator.  Is there any meaning to this light being Amber?

It appears as though the documentation is out of date. In fact, it looks like the Active LED turns Amber when either of the DAC outputs are enabled or when the Aux DIO port is enabled (any of the pins individually enabled). So basically, it is Amber when the PXIe-5641R is outputting.

I also have the same doubt here. There is an ACTIVE indicator light sometimes when running a VI on my 5641R.  I do not know what the light indicates. Is it because there is some problem with the device? Please advice.
