HALUG March 2026: Three Pillars of Software Security for LabVIEW

Join the Huntsville Alabama LabVIEW User Group at our next meeting on Wednesday, March 18, 12:00 - 1:00, in the classroom at GigaParts, 6123 University Dr, Huntsville, AL 35806. Sarah Zalusky will introduce three foundational pillars of software security—Software Supply Chain Security, Security Testing & Remediation, and Secure Development Process. Whether your team is seeking compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), or simply building more secure software, these pillars provide a practical framework. You'll learn about the security landscape, the tools that support each pillar, and leave with a foundation for building your compliance program.

Sarah Zalusky is a Partner and Staff Software Engineer at JKI and an NI Certified LabVIEW Architect with over 15 years of experience building production control systems in regulated industries including semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, and energy. At JKI, she architects critical systems that run in 24/7 manufacturing environments - where security, reliability, and uptime are non-negotiable. Her work with customers across high-security industries provides insights into the unique security challenges facing LabVIEW developers and how to address them effectively.

Sarah holds a B.A. in Physics from UC Berkeley and began her career developing R&D detector systems at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and CERN before transitioning to industrial automation.

Lunch will be provided by NI.

I saw my father do some work on a car once as a kid and I asked him "How did you know how to do that?" He responded "I didn't, I had to figure it out."
