The specific niScopeDAQ or niScopeDMF dll could not be loaded

Hi. I am using NI PCI 5112 card to measure time lapses between two signals (Ch1 and Ch2). Our application runs fine most of the time but some times when the application crashes or without any reason the application throws the error "The specific niScopeDAQ or niScopeDMF dll could not be loaded" at NI Scope initialization. I noticed that no process is using the niScopeDAQ or niScopeDMF dlls. The only way to eliminate this error is to restart the machine which is not accepted by customer. Is there any way we can find what is the cause for this error or any process or service can be restarted to eliminate this. Please help.

Hello,

Do you have more information as to when the program fails? Do you notice a pattern, or does it happen randomly? Are you closing all of the references at the end of your program? Sometimes the error that you see happens when you have open references, from older programs that did not close them, or when other programs are trying to use the same resources. Can you please send a screenshot of the error that you are seeing, as well as any patterns that you see when the program fails.

Thank you

Also, make sure that you are using the newest NI-SCOPE driver that your device can use. What device are you using?

We have taken care to release the resources in the application but randomly we get this error "The specific niScopeDAQ or niScopeDMF dll could not be loaded" on NI Scope initialization. There is no extra information. We use NI PCI 5112 with NiScope version 3.5.

Hello,

I suggest updating the most recent version of NI SCOPE (15.1) Here is a page of the Readme

http://download.ni.com/support/softlib//high_speed_digitizers/niscope/windows/15.1/readme.htm

You can download the driver from the following link:

http://www.ni.com/download/ni-scope-15.1/5726/en/

You have to make sure that you meet the OS specifications and that you have the correct version of the other drivers and software.

For example, you need to at least have LabVIEW 2012.

If I may suggest, there is another thread of people who had this problem before. Here is this thread for example, it may provide good next steps to take.

I hope this helps!
