Digitizer in conjunction with high channel count matrix

We are replacing a non-NI digitizer that has a built in mux in front of it with a PXI-5105 digitizer and a PXI-2529 matrix configured in 4x32, 2-wire.  The 5105 has SMB jacks.  I'd assume the best way to connect these together would be with a custom coax cable that has an SMB plug on one end and bare wire on the other that we'd then screw into the row outputs of the 2529?  I'd love to see NI include more custom cable options on the site.

Hi,

Glad to hear that you are using NI products! You are correct in your thinking- the 5105 digitizer has SMB jacks and the 2529 switch connects to a 2636 terminal block as listed under "Required Accessories" in the product page here. The 2636 uses bare wire screw terminals as you can see from the picture on page 4 of the user manual.

If you would like to see more custom cabling options on the web, please post on the Data Acquisition Idea Exchange with your idea. The more people who suggest a particular idea, the more likely it is to be implemented in the future. Thanks!

Hi,

Just as a follow up, the DAQ Idea Exchange is a good place to discuss ideas for product features. The Product Suggestion Center would be a better location for this type of request. Thanks!
