Cannot get any SOM examples working...

I have the SOM and Reference Carrier board and cannot get any of the "Getting Started" examples to work.

When I try to run the "Read On-Board Temperatures" example is get the following deployment errors:

Deploying sbRIO-9651 Read On-Board Temperatures (RT).visbRIO-9651 Read On-Board Temperatures (RT).vi loaded with errors on the target and was closed.

LabVIEW:  Failed to load shared library nisyscfg.*:nisyscfg_lv_sysapiPropertySetUnsignedInteger:C          . Ensure that the library is present on the RT target. Use either MAX to install NI software or FTP to transfer custom libraries to the RT target.

LabVIEW:  Failed to load shared library nisyscfg.*:nisyscfg_lv_sysapiPropertyGetStringIndexed:C          . Ensure that the library is present on the RT target. Use either MAX to install NI software or FTP to transfer custom libraries to the RT target.

LabVIEW:  Failed to load shared library nisyscfg.*:nisyscfg_lv_sysapiPropertyGetDoubleIndexed:C          . Ensure that the library is present on the RT target. Use either MAX to install NI software or FTP to transfer custom libraries to the RT target.

Deployment completed with errors

I have done the 2015 SP1 updates on the SOM, RT and installed LV14 SP1, FPGA, Xilinx and Real-Time updates. (I had the error before the updates and was told to update all the software)

I was able to resolve the problem by doing the following:

1. Format the SOM system.

2. Re-install the base software as shown here:

SOM and RT Software.png

Now I can run the Read Temp RT example and at this point (Xilinx compiling in the background...) the FPGA example seems to be linking correctly.

Regards

Jack Hamilton

PS: I will post more on this forum as we develop on the SOM, very exciting system!.

Hi Jack,

I am glad you were able to resolve this issue. I don't see any noticeable differences in the software support you chose. Those errors are generally linked to not have the NI System Configuration Suipport installed. However, it looks like you did from the screenshot above.

Hi,

I am runnning the EPICS IO server on a CRIO 9068 and the EPICS IO client on my PC.  The update rate is about 2Hz.  I'm curious if you are having the same update rate or is it unique to my system?

Hi Christiana,

This community is driven towards sbRIO hardware development. I think you would receive the best results by posting to the LabVIEW DSC NI Forums.
