LabVIEW License at Georgia Tech and GTRI

Georgia Institute of Technology

  • Type: Large Research and Teaching LabVIEW Academic Site License (ASL) with Student Install Option
  • Who can use it?: Everyone associated with Georgia Tech - professors, researchers, instructors, staff, lab managers, TAs, graduate students, undergraduate students.
  • What can it be used for? - Teaching and Research applications.  It CANNOT be used for commercial applications (you cannot create something and sell it.  you need a non-academic license for that)
  • Where can it be installed? All university owned computers are elligible.  Personal computers are permitted as long as its being used for educational or research purposes.
  • What is included?  The list of software included in the ASL can be found here:   Software Included with the NI Academic Site License whitepaper (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/8115/en/)
  • Where do I go to get access? You can download an activated version of LabVIEW ASL from the OIT software distribution page.   You can download LabVIEW from ni.com or from Georgia Tech's server.  You will need to apply the serial number to activate the license. 

Georgia Tech Research Institute

  • Type: Enterprise Agreement
  • Who can use it?: Any employee at GTRI, including interns
  • What can it be used for?  All projects; IRAD projects are given special access to extra toolkits upon request (Please contact Brian Burress)
  • Where can it be installed?  Talk to your CSR first then download and install the following setup file: \licensemanager.core.gtri.org\LabView
  • What is included? Developer Suite Core, including LabVIEW Professional Development System, LabWindows/CVI Full Development System, Measurement Studio Enterprise, and general purpose toolkits
