Did you mean:

Sensor Class Voltage is missing Excitation feature present in DAQmx.

In MAX or DAQmx, you have the option to define a channel as voltage type input but still enable excitation if the hardware supports it. A specific hardware example that supports this is a PXIe-4339. DAQmx also allows you to optionally scale the voltage reading in proportion to the excitation (effectively turning the voltage reading into a bridge reading.)

It would be useful if FlexLogger exposed access to this DAQmx feature and allowed a Voltage class channel to define an output excitation voltage.

A use case where this would help is potentiometers. A prior post discussed difficulties reading String Pots TEDS data because Bridge class sensors don't support the Linear Position measurement type in FlexLogger. The Voltage class could be used to read the TEDS enabled String Pots, but only if the option to enable channel excitation is exposed in FlexLogger for the Voltage sensor class.
