NI 4330 Quarter Bridge 4-wires measurement

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone try measuring with flexlogger a quarter bridge with 4-wire technique? in official documentation it is shown only 3-wire. I'm Wondering if connecting one side of the gage to AI+ and QTR/SC and the other to EXC- and RS- will work.

Does anyone has experience with it?

Thank you in advance.
PS: I couldn't find any other post on that. That's why I created a new one

Hello Santhosh,

Thank you for your quick response and for sharing the community guidelines and tips.

As requested, here is the datasheet for my strain gauge:
HBM Y-Series Data Sheet – Model 1-LY13-0.3/120

I’m currently using a quarter-bridge configuration with a 4-wire connection technique. In my previous setup (Dewetron system with TRION-2402 cards), the measurement worked by connecting R+ and IN+ to one side of the gauge, and Sense- and EXC- to the other. Both the hardware and software supported this 4-wire approach directly.

Now I’m trying to achieve a similar measurement using FlexLogger with an NI PXIe-4330. I’ve reviewed NI’s documentation and searched the NI forums, Reddit, Stack Overflow, and Google, but only found this related article (which applies to the NI-9237, not the 4330):
NI Knowledge Article – Quarter Bridge with NI-9237

My question:
Has anyone successfully implemented a 4-wire quarter-bridge measurement using FlexLogger and the NI-4330? Specifically, would wiring AI+ and QTR/SC to one side of the gauge, and EXC- and RS- to the other, be valid for this configuration?

Any insights or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!
