How is this different from DAQExpress and does it support SCXI hardware yet?

Question is in the subject but most importantly I need to know if it supports SCXI hardware.
Currently using Signal Express.

Thanks

Hi Okor,

First, their currently is not support for SCXI in FlexLogger. For FlexLogger 2018 R2, there is support for Analog Input C Series Modules, the 9361 Counter Input C Series Module, and CAN modules and interfaces. A specific list of hardware supported can be found in the FlexLogger 2018 R2 readme.

FlexLogger is configuration-based application software that allows a user to perform inline analysis and automatic logging of mixed measurements with a custom UI without programming. For example, you can configure DAQ devices to read multiple input modules at different rates with a customer User Interface and log it to a TDMS file with metadata.

DAQExpress is companion software for DAQ hardware that allows a user to configure hardware and visualize data. You can begin to program with LabVIEW NXG with DAQExpress and if necessary, can upgrade to LabVIEW NXG, to program more advanced DAQmx features.

Thanks,

Andy

At a fundamental level both DAQExpress and FlexLogger allow you to configure your DAQ hardware, acquire and log data. FlexLogger has some additional features that are not available in DAQExpress:

  • FlexLogger can segment log files based on file size or time span
  • FlexLogger supports start and stop trigger conditions for logging data
  • FlexLogger can log data from calculated channels
