Hi all,
I'm trying to communicate my laptop with fieldpoint by fieldpoint explorer4.1. After I connected all the modules I tried to run the program, but I couldn't find any module by the FP explorer somehow. Here are the devices that I use. (FP-1001,USB to RS485 2-wire half-duplex,FP-AI110,AO210.DO401) Hope you can help me. Thank you.
Regards,
Nicky

Have you tried the wiring scheme as shown here for 1/2 duplex?
I'm wondering if the USB to 485 is preventing MAX from seeing it?

That's exactly the same way I was wiring. Since I was using the 2-wire half-duplex mode I supposed the RS485 was automatically detected. That's why I didnt see the option of changing "transceiver mode".

Hi Nicky87,
FieldPoint and FieldPoint Explorer are some quite old products, that we do not support much anymore.
Have you read the following KnowledgeBase article? It might not be exactly your problem, but the solution(s) should be sufficient for your question as well!

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Best regards,

@Peter
Thanks Peter. I've read those manuals. Since I'm using only one FP-1001 network module I set the address 0 and baud rate 115200 as default. Now the problem is no module can be found when I use either the MAX or fieldpoint explorer.

Hi Nicky87,
The following KnowledgeBase might give you better troubleshooting steps in that case.

Hi Nicky,
To be honest, I have no clue on what the problem exactly could be.
Just to verify:
You are able to create the connection to the FP-1001, but not to the several I/O modules you have connected.
What firmware version does the FP-1001 have? If you do not have the Firmware v30, please try to update the controller. The v30 firmware version can be downloaded on the following webpage (you need to be registered / loggged in):
http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/133/lang/en
Next it could be usefull to check if there are broken pins in the connectors of the I/O modules
