Wiring cfp-ai-110 to Pressure Transducer

Hi,

I was having trouble understanding the wiring diagram of the cfp-ai-110.  I am using a pressure transducer, PX315-050gi, http://www.omega.com/Pressure/pdf/PX305.pdf
and using a 24V power supply.   The pressure transducer's pins are labeled as follows:
Pin 1: excitation +
Pin 2 :excitation -
Pin 3 : not labeled!  (perhaps current out?)
Pin 4 : Case grnd
I am not using the optional connector block but instead making my own cable.  I would like to hook this up to channel 0.  Should I wire it like this?:

Transducer Pin 1 -> +24V
Transducer Pin 2 -> 24COM
Transducer Pin 3 - > cfp-ai-110 pin 2 (I in)
Tranducer Pin 4 -> cfp-ai-110 pin 18 (COM)

or am i totally wrong?  Thank you for any help!
-Tania

I found the instruction manual for the PX305 here.  http://www.omega.com/manuals/manualpdf/M1306.pdf  (see page 2)

And the cFP-AI-110 manual here. http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/373280b.pdf  (see page 7)

It looks like the PX305 is a loop powered transmitter, so connect it like figure 7 on page 7 of the AI-110 manual.

Transducer Pin 1 to Vsup  (+24V)

Transducer Pin 2 to I in.

Do i also need to connect Pin 4 (case grnd) of the transducer to Pin 18 (COM)?  Thanks for you help!

It shouldn't be necessary.

I would not connect it.  Then if you find problems with communication, such as a noisy signal, then try connecting it.
