Quad will not count when servo is moving slow



I am having some problems with reading my encoder. I have an incremental optical encoder (1024P/R) I use on a Quad 510. I get readings when the servo is moving fast, but

at low speeds the encoder will not count. For a full revolution at low speed the reading varies between i.e 10294 and 10293 instead of counting. If I speed the servo up it will count ok.

It is essential that I get readings at low speeds as I am programming a robot.
