Moving cfp1808 to new network, do I have to modify the IAK file or update the fieldpoint tags in the code?

First time moving existing gear to a new network (.exe via App Builder).  Familiar with the build process, but looking for guidance on accommodating the new IP setttings.  No problem changing the hardware, do I need to modify the .iak file and if so does that mean I need to update the fieldpoint tags in the code?

Other issues I need to be aware of?

Many thanks.

Hi Lapster,

Sorry about the delayed response, but you can look at this document on Applying FieldPoint IAK Settings to a FieldPoint Real-Time Controller for some information on IAK files, and for your questions on IP settings, take a look at this document on Linking an IAK File to a Compact FieldPoint with a Different IP Address.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, Stephen.  In the interim I spoke with tech support and received the following instructions which did the trick:

save IAK file from development PC

connect cFP-180x (with new IP address) to new network

find devices in MAX

create new FieldPoint Item

open IAK file

save IAK file with same name

apply the configuration to the cFP-180x bank

start a fresh LabVIEW session
