MAX Alias and Lookout

I'm using MAX 6.1, FP-1804 ethernet and Lookout 6.1. I setup the 1804, gave it an alias, found devices, and saved the iak file. I create an object in Lookout, assign the IP address and import the iak file, but the device alias list isn't present. I'm assuming I'll get the same type of alias list I get with my FP-1601 units. IE: An AI-111 would show the 16 inputs under the input module. Any help would be great.

Thanks, Mark

I guess that you are using Lookout FieldPoint driver. I'm sorry that Lookout FieldPoint driver doesn't support the alias for 180x, 21xx, 22xx modules. We have not updated this driver with the new FieldPoint module since we developed it long time ago... We will consider adding this feature in the future.

For now, you can either use the current datamembers in FieldPoint driver or to use OPCFieldPoint object. The OPCFieldPoint uses OPC to communicate with FieldPoint device, which is able to import the alias from .iak file.
To use the datamembers in FieldPoint driver may not be easy, but it's an available way.
