Lost hard drive and now missing WriteRead.vi

Hi, I am trying to reload all the software (Labview 7.1 with Fieldpoint 4.0) onto a new computer after the previous computer's hard drive crashed.

I only backed up the files created by the software programmer (not me,by the way) and not the original NI software, figuring that all the NI files

are still found on the original disks.

 The problem is that once started, the program gives an error because it can't find FP WriteRead.vi and won't continue. I can't locate this vi anywhere.

I see an FP Read.vi and FP Write.vi in the "c:\ProgramFiles\National Instruments\Labview7.1\vi.lib\Fieldpoint" folder but no WriteRead.

 Can someone give me any clues on where to find this generic vi?

Hi krugerand,

I believe you are missing the correct FieldPoint drivers, and I would suggest 6.0.1 version for your LabVIEW 7.1.

I installed those drivers as you suggested but still had the same error. I ended up getting the original software engineer back on contract and he figured out that the tag that WriteRead.vi was looking for was incorrect.  

 Everything is now working great.
