FP TC 120 Output

Hi everyone,

I will be using the FP TC 120 module to measure several temperatures using thermocouples. My question is that if I use FP Read to read the output from FieldPoint IO Point In which corresponds to a certain thermocouple, will FP Read give me an actual temperature reading or just a voltage? If it's the latter, how can I convert that voltage into a temperature? Thank you.

It will give temperature.

You just need to make sure you configure the channel for the correct type of thermocouple.

If you don't mind, I had another unrelated question. If I'm using the PID VI from the PID and Fuzzy Logic Toolkit, is it possible for the VI to output a negative value? For example, if my process variable is above my setpoint, would the VI return a negative value?

I think so.   But I'm not sure.

Just start playing with it and find out.
