Can the OPC driver return values as a integer value?

I need to access the Fieldpoint data from a software package which does not allow me to enter the full range of the raw data (like can be done with lookout). The software only allows be to enter the engineering range and it expects the raw data from the OPC driver to be a scaled integer.

Instead of having the data come back as, for example, a voltage, I would like it to come as a integer value where 0 equals the min voltage of the voltage range and 32767 equals the max voltage of the voltage range.

if the data comes back as a scaled integer, the software can automatically scale it to the correct engineering units.

if it comes back as a floating point, I have to add calculation blocks to scale
the raw voltage data.

The FieldPoint OPC Server automatically returns data as scaled values based upon the channel settings. It is not possible to configure it to return custom scaled data.
Sorry, but you will have to add the calculation blocks.

Aaron
