I don't really use the web server, but If it requires that the VI be saved before it can be accessed I would suggest replacing the control templates with controls and saving the vit using the Save Instrument method after opening it. That way, the user probably won't need to select anything. Make sure you save it to a temp directory or that you delete the file when you finish running the VI.
