Weird deletion when backspacing across multiple wrapped lines on android.

Let me see if I can describe that so somebody can try to reproduce it.

If I edit a post wrapped over multiple lines on android and keep pressing the backspace (virtual key) to erase past a wrap point, I lose one character on the right side of the cursor with every line jump (i.e. on the cursor side where the deletion should not happen.

Simulated example:

This is some

random text

autowrapped

to the |screen

on the phone.

The "|" denotes the insert point, which is not part of the text of course. If I now place the insert point before the word "screen" as shown and keep hitting backspace on the simulated keyboard, I end up with more and more missing characters of the word "screen", etc.

A: (s missing of the word "screen")

This is some

random text

autowra|creen

on the phone.

B: (sc missing of the word "screen")

This is some

random|reen

on the phone.

C: (scr missing of the word "screen")

This is|een

on the phone.

Hi Christian,

Did you start seeing this behavior just today or has it been occurring prior to today?

Thanks,

Lili

I think it was there for quite a while, but I ignored it in the past, thinking I probably fatfingered something. (Typically I don't delete that much, but I remembered having to add a character or two to the following word occasionally in the past).

Is is clearly a fully reproducible behavior.

Maybe it is related to this bug (same phone).

(Auto-correct seems to work better since recently, but I have not tested extensively. No guarantees)
