To whomever moved "USB接続の計測機器における読み書きエラーについて (Hex 0xBFFF001D) "

That post is in Japanese, not Chinese !

Should move to Japanese board.

Hi George,

Thanks for pointing this out. The topic has been moved to the correct board now.

Thanks,

If somebody is unsure, google translate can help and will auto-detect most languages (I use this chrome extension). 😄

The difficulty is that even if you go and use Google to figure out what language the message is in, it is much more difficult to figure out which of the forms is the Chinese one or Japanese one.  It would be helpful if those forum titles had the English word in it like "(Japanese)" or "(Chinese)".   As it is now, all those crazy character scribbles look nearly the same.

It might help to look at the ID for a category rather than the name. The ID is found at the end of the URL.

For example:

ディスカッションフォーラム(日本語) is the Japanese category and it has the ID JPForum.

There are two Chinese categories:

NI台灣 技術論壇 is for Traditional Chinese and has ID ZHT.

NI中文技术论坛 is for Simplified Chinese and has the ID ZHS.

Interesting.  I have never seen that before.

It looks like that is only visible if you hover over the parent level in the tree, the one with the + or -.  If you expand the tree then hover, the actual individual boards only end with the numeric value like 2170 or 4007 for the ZHS group.  1170, 4006, 3052, or 8504 for the JPForum group.  And 5170 for the only item under the ZHS group.

Overall, I still think these boards need to be promoted up higher in the tree.  It seems like numerous first time users, including Spanish users, don't seem to find the foreign language forums which are rather low on the list under "Regional Communities" and post in the English LabVIEW board.

Yes, the majority of nodes will have numerical IDs. The higher level category IDs will at least get you pointed in the right direction though.

It is possible that users post in the LabVIEW board due to the higher volumes of posts/users there overall, not just the placement of the regional boards. This is something on our radar though.
