NI Developer Exchange Wishlist addition.

Hi Reberto,

This is a known issue that I HOPE Molly has someone fixing.

It also happens when you run the spell checker.

NEW REQUEST!

I would like to be able to specify what time the e-mail goes out telling me about the previous days activities.

On the "Old Exchange" these would go out about 6:30 Eastern US time. This meant I had the e-mail when I got to work in the AM.

As it stands now I only get these updates at 8:00 Eastern US time. This means that I loose my window of opertunity to get a fresh Q's.

If it is not possible for me to be able to specifiy the time for me, would anyone else mind if the daily updates get sent an hour earlier, so that I can get started at 7:00 Eastern US?

Then again maybe this is a plot to reduce the number of answers I post (insert smiley face here).

The fact that you lose the attachment when you Preview Post is a known issue with the software and the forum developers have it on their list of things to fix. Unfortunately, I don't have a timeline associated with when will be resolved. Thanks for reporting it and being patient while we get to resolving it.

I will see what I can do about the time the daily notifications are sent. The company hosting the solution is located on the West Coast so 7AM EST is pretty early for them! 🙂 I thought you were in Mountain Time which means it's pretty early for you too!

Have a great day!

Hi Molly,

I am just south of of Pittsburgh PA USA, so eastern time.

About 1-1/2 miles from where the Wiskey Rebelion started.

Hi Molly,

Is they a way to tag messages so that I could keep them together and maybe float them to the top of a message board.
I know we have the dashboard, but having to much inform on it would be come too confusing and it has also problem correcting form the growth in length. I do use the dashboard, but mainly to spot when there are new messages in some of the different boards.

I have a number of messages I'm watching but after a while you can loss sight of them, especial one that have main days between responses.

It would be bit like sticking a pin in them on a board so that you can easily get back to them without having to search throw a load of clutter.

You can float every thread to the top of the board (either by clicking the arrow on its right in the thread list or by going to thread options), but once you do that to about 4 threads, it starts to get annoying because you have to scroll past them to get to the board itself. I use it all the time and try to clear it as often as possible.

Tst is exactly right. You can pin messages in each board for yourself to refer back to later. I do that on occasion and find it helpful. If there are threads that you want to keep links to, but don't need to see them every day, then I would recommend using the bookmarks instead of pinning them to the top of the board.

I hope that gives you what you need. Does anyone else have a technique that can help in this situation?

Thanks!

Molly,

Coupld you please bump up the limit on how long our posts can be?

I keep running into the 5000 character limit. I suspect there is a lot of "un-seen" formatting that keeps psuhing me over the limit.

Is it possible to expose number of ratings given and average rating assigned as public, so CC can probe this field?

Could you give us the option to view our posting based on date of last acivity (i.e. others reply to our old postings) instead of by the date we posted?

Ben -

I will try to get all three birds with one stone.  Unfortunately, we can't increase the post size or make the "ratings given" fields public. The option to change the sort of threads on the Tracker pages is on the list of things we are working on.  Sorry I don't have better news for you.

Have a great day!
