Perfect. Thanks Christian.

Indeed rotation of 33 is better!

Johnner's idea was nice, so I decided to adopt it as well.

As promised, here is the thread for temporary (?) placement of icons.
My brief research has led me to the following insights:
NI icons are 36x36 pixels GIFs with a 96 dpi resolution and an 8-bit depth and about 1 KB in size. Anything bigger will probably just be resized to fit this, so there is no point in posting bigger files, they will just download slower. I have tried linking to a bigger JPG I posted to the forums and recieved a message that either the address or the format was incorrect. According to the site, the icons can be JPG, GIF or PNG.

I have also failed when posting a PNG created in photoshop just now.

I'm hoping this post will come after the first post.

I'd better quote so you know what I'm talking about..

Test # 3: I am replying to my own post above (post # doesn't show up at the bottom 😞 )

END OF TEST:

Outcome...

I am now replying "THIS IS A TEST"

When replying to tst's first post using the black relpy, it posted it at the bottom of all replies.
Replying to my own post showed up immediately after last night's post (correct)
The post numbers display as expected..

This post should appear after "THIS IS A TEST"...

Let's see..

😄

JLV,
Molly has explained it (I think it was in the "Welcome to the forums" thread) - clicking on the blue button adds a post at the end of the thread. Clicking on the black reply button adds a post to the end of the "sub thread". since everybody used the black reply buttons, the "sub thread" to my original post was never closed, so when you click the black reply button, your message is put at the end of the thread (since until you clicked the blue button, a new "sub thread" wasn't opened.
However, this is wierd - you say you used the blue button for #33 and the black button from the original post for #34, but #34 appears after 33. Why?

What you describe is what I've been experiencing...

And I blamed it on the 28 cups of cafe' / day..

😉

BTW.. I did hit the black reply button (this time)..

AS A matter of fact, I always use the blue button...
Now I'm even more confused...

I like your new icon, JP..

You should get your stars to flash on & off.

Mmmmm

ON, then OFF, then message saying "lost stars"
