Anomalies with user profile and notifications…

Hi,

I just got two interesting artifacts:

notificate-me.png

I just got 5 unread notification - but I swear the notification counter at my avatar image was showing zero/"0" also before I opened the notification overview!

Additionally the menu appearing when clicking the user name like this:

profile.png

was missing 4 items: I only had "profile", "notifications", "Help" and "Log Out". The other items were missing - I forgot to create a screenshot at the right time…

Now the problem is gone - but I want to raise a question:

Do such things happen in case of a (very) slow/unstable internet connection?

Best regards,
GerdW

One more:

check.png

- I have no new notification, but the topic list tells me: there is a new message…

- The topic list tells me there is a new message - but the latest message is by me. What will be the new message then?

Another topic:

All user names are displayed in blue color. Before the forum make-over "blue" users tend to work at NI, while all "normal" forum users were displayed with black colored nicknames. Now we all are working at NI?

Best regards,
GerdW

Hello Gerd,

Yes,  the notification issue could be caused by a slow/ unstable internet connection.

Please let us know if the issue returns and with Screen shots.

Hi,

one more (minor) "feature":

check.png

Why is there an old and already marked as "read" message on top of the notifications?

This notifications stays on top even after reloading the notification feed. Also logging out and in again doesn't change anything here…

Best regards,
GerdW

Several times today when accessing the Notifications Feed:

NotificationFeed.png

Is this linked to your load balancer problems visible with these "N/A" all-blue user account classifications?

(Reloading the website seems to fix the "unexpected error"…)

Gerd -

Regarding the issue with the old notification being at the top of your notification feed - I was able to reproduce this. It occurs when an older dated topic is merged into a newer dated topic. However, once new notifications came in, the old notification went away.

Are you still seeing any issues with your notification feed?

Thanks,

Lili

One more time, just 2mins ago:

check.png

I was trying to read my notifications because there were 3 new notifications announced.

After "returning to my original page" there were no more any new notifications…

Best regards,
GerdW

I knew this thread was floating around somewhere...

I saw this error last night around 7:40pm EST when refreshing the LabVIEW board from my phone (Android).
