USB-8486 no longer works after Windows 10 Creator's Update

After Microsoft updated my PC to version 1709, Build 16299.125, the entry under "National Instruments Fieldbus Interfaces" in the device manager, where I previously had a cleanly installed and working USB-8486 device, now has an exclamation on it.  Device status says "This device cannot start.(Code 10)  A device which does not exist was specified.

Removing the device by uninstalling it in the device manager, then re-detecting it, or unplugging it and plugging it back into a different USB port does not resolve the issue.

Rebooting the PC does not resolve the issue.  Reinstalling the software does not resolve the issue.  Something in this version of Windows 10, which is forced down by Microsoft, breaks NI-FBUS drivers.

sorry to hear, now you know you must disable windows update service in work enviroinment once you have a working machine.

Ask yourself: will Microsoft pay work their bugs/disservices? no.

YOU PAY.

You lose time, money, to fix THEIR crap OS.

Why?

Why should we update at all? Update is a scam. Updates are evaluated every 3 years or more.

Creator update doesn't do ANYthing usefull for Labview, doesn't enhance a SINGLE thing.
