Using the CAN Jaguar vi s

Is there a reference or help manual available describing how to use the CAN Jaguar vis?  In particular I would like to know how to use the jaguars in postion mode.

I am looking at the vis in the WPI Robotics - Actuators - Motor Control - CAN Jaguar palette and find that while I get context help tips I don't see any extended help text.

Howdy atk!

We are currently working on writing a CAN tutorial for the Jaguars and should have it done soon (hopefully before next week).  When it is finished it will be available here.

I was just looking for the same information. (We are hoping to use them in the speed mode.) Thank you--I look forward to the tutorial as well!

Follow on question -

Can a mix of CAN and PWM controled Jaguars be used at the same time?

Thanx;

Hi Arnold,

This question can be read two different ways so I will try to answer both

- You can have some jaguars cintrolled by can and other controlled by pwm.

- You can also use CAN to access some of the monitoring features of the Jaguar will it is controlled over PWM, but this is prohibited by the FRC Rules.
