Bent/Broken pin on USB Device Port

Solved!
Go to solution

Our team has somehow managed to bend/break a pin on the USB device port in the Roborio. So we can no longer connect over hardwire to the roborio .. however the wifi connection works well.   We have only the one Roborio that we got in our rookie season so we need to get this fixed before the competition.  We would like to know what our options are..

Hey malgudi2,

My best suggestion would be to contact the NI support line to get help with this issue. Please call 866-511-6285 1:00-7:00 PM CST Monday - Friday. I'd be ready with you serial number and other shipping information in case that's needed for an RMA procedure.

For the time being continue to use your RIO as that should be usable for the time being. Also you may want to look into robot simulation as a work around to test some features of you code in the worst case scenario.
