How Trigger Counter and Analog Input simultaneously

Overview
The example demonstrates how to trigger counter and analog input simultaneously.

Description:
In this example, to trigger a counter input and one or more analog input, you can use the trigger arm and the line of the gate counter.

Steps to implement or execute code

To implement this example:

Assuming you use the counter to 0 and the analog input 0

  1. Connect the counter input to the line of source ctr0
  2. Connect the trigger input to the gate of the line ctr0
  3. Connect the analog input at AI0
  4. Set the physical channel of the counter
  5. Determine the number of the pulses per revolution
  6. Run the VI and with an external trigger enable capture on the rising edge.
  7. (Optional) Turn on the Highlight Execution to see the flow of the VI

To execute this example:

  1. Install the required software.
  2. Connect the DAQ hardware that supports the Counter and analog input features
  3. Confirm the connection with the MAX with TestPanel
  4. Open the VI and refer the Implement Steps

NI-DAQmx 16.0 or compatible

Hardware
cDAQ with C series Counter Input Module and analog input module or compatible DAQ devices.
