Overview

This VI emulates the function of a One Button Dialog.

Description

One Button Dialog VIs in LabVIEW are not movable only open centered on the VI in which they are called. This can cause problems when using multiple monitors.

Requirements

Software:

  • LabVIEW 2012 (or compatible)

Steps to Implement or Execute Code

1.  Place the VI in a blank VI then double-click the VI to get into the edit screen.
2.  Once you are here click File >> VI Properties.  Inside this properties box, you can select the Category drop-down box.
3.  Select Window Run-Time Position.  This will allow you to adjust the window properties when this VI is called.
4.  Select Custom from the Position drop-down menu.
5.  You can now select Use Current Position, then set the position of where you want your VI to popup when it is called.
6.  Select OK.  You will now be able to use this VI just like a One Button Dialog.
