Overview
In this example we use the system (Solartron 1287+1255) for Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements of membranes as a function of temperature.
Description
The system uses both instruments, sweeps the temperature UP & DOWN, measures and saves the data at desired temperatures.
Solartron 1287 Electrochemical Interface and Solartron Analytical 1255 FRA (frequency response analyzer) are by company solartron analytical. ZPlot, the software which was made by company Scribner Associates, is running both of the instruments. In this example we use the system for Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements of membranes. The membrane is in a fixture that sits in the oven and the cabling with teflon coating extends outside of the oven and goes into the instruments. The LabVIEW VI sets the temperature (we use Thelco Oven) from The rmo Electron Corporation, once the desired temperature is reached and after the entered delay time, the system takes the data and saves it to the hard drive. The system can sweep up or sweep down and the intervals can be changed. The data is collected by the ZPlot application, which was from the company as a sample VI. The setup file of ZPlot can be changed with desired values. The data is also saved by the date, temperate, whether it is sweep-up or down. The instruments(1287 and 1255) in this example use different GPIB addresses so the user should change them accordingly.
