Up in ARMs - LabVIEW Embedded Module for ARM Demos at ESC

In the National Instruments booth (# 1418) there will be several demos featuring the LabVIEW Embedded Module for ARM programming the latest ARM microcontrollers.  Here’s a brief rundown of the ARM demos from NI.

Blocktris  - Take control  by grabbing a Luminary Micro LM3S8962 evaluation board designed to be a game controller and display for the world’s most addictive puzzle game written in LabVIEW.  The LM3S862 communicates through a TCP/IP connection using LabVIEW shared variables to indicate user input as well as player performance back to the user.

MCB2460 QVGA Display – The newest Tier 1 ARM target – the MCB2460, will be at the NI booth illustrating how to incorporate C code IP and accessing on-chip peripherals easily through elemental I/O, a single-point API for accessing ADCs, DACs, and DIO.

In addition to demos in the National Instruments booth, Luminary Micro (Booth # 1802) will also be featuring demos powered by LabVIEW

XTEA Encryption - Using Luminary Micro LM3S8962 evaluation boards and shared variables an encryption and decryption scheme was  implemented.  On  a PC type  your message, the message will be passed via TCP/IP to a LM3S8962 programmed with LabVIEW.  The microcontroller will perform the XTEA encryption algorithm on the data, before passing the data to another LM3S8962, which will decrypt the code.
