Analog output retains last value after stopping VI.

I have Labview7, pxi-1042 chassis, 6070e, scb-68 system.

My analog output function is a constant dc voltage of 10V to command a run to my system. When I stop the vi, the 10V is present at the analof output. How do I clear this?

I've read in a previous post that by NI design, the board will hold the last value. Also that I have to set it to zero by placing a numeric constant = 0.

Any suggestions or sample code?

After you have finished outputting your voltage and you would like to set the voltage to zero, you can call one of the easy VIs and set the voltage of the channel to zero. I have attached a screen shot of an example of how to do this.

Bill -

thanks for the suggestion. What version of labview are you running? I have labview 7 and do not have the functions you outlined. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.
