write PPP protocol driver to establish PPP communication

Dear Sir,
 

As there is no PPP specific functions in LabVIEW ......

I want to know more about how to write PPP protocol drivers, in register level programming, for labview version 8.

As i want to establish  PPP communication over RS-232 to send & recieve data from GUI created in LabVIEW to a third party device  ...

how to do register level programing in Labview ? ...

& to do register level programing do I need to have any additional interfacing software installed?

Welcome to the discussion forums.  Since there are no PPP specific functions inside of LabVIEW, have you considered using NI-VISA instead?  VISA has VIs that have the ability to control at the registry level.  Here are some additional resources that further expound upon VISA and its capabilities.
