vpptype.h not installed with NI-DMM 3.06

Hi,

Try to load nidmm_64.dll fails because vpptype.h is missing in the installation of NI-DMM 3.06 . vpptype.h is included by ivi.h and should be part of the installer.

Please let me know if this file can be included as part of the installer.

Hi Shreenath,

The installer for NI-DMM 3.0.6 comes packaged with NI-VISA 5.0.  NI-VISA is the driver that actually installs vpptype.h.  This particular version of VISA did not install vpptype.h, however.  The problem was fixed in NI-VISA 5.1.  I believe if you update your VISA driver (the newest version is here) the issue will be resolved.

Thanks for replying so quickly. Currently do you expect the customers to install 3.06 and then install the latest NI-VISA as well? Or will the latest VISA get picked up by the update manager?

Currently, manually updating NI-VISA is the quickest method to get everything working.  I believe the update manager should prompt you to update NI-VISA at some point, however.
