Low DC current measurement issue with NI PXI 4072

Hi forum,

This is my first post and I'm happy to join the NI community 🙂

For one of my application, I try to measure a consumption current of a device in range of 50 - 100uA thanks to the DMM PXI 4072. However, I'm not able to get a stable signal (it oscillate continually and randomly between 0 and 300uA).

When I connect a second DMM in serie (type Fluke 87V) and select the smaller range (uA), the signal measured by the PXI 4072 is suddenly much more stable and accurate.

While measuring the resistance of both DMM with different ranges, I observed that the resistance of the PXI 4072 is much weaker than the one of the Fluke device (PXI 4072 = 1R vs Fluke = 100R).

Is there any solution to be able to measure such small current with this device? Have someone already experimented such trouble?

Thank you in advance for your precious help.

Regards,

Julien
