Interfacing accelerometers to BNC2090

I have a PCI-MIO-16XE-10 board with a BNC2090. What is the proper setup for acquiring the ouput signal from an accelerometer (RSE, NRSE, etc.)

Hi,

The recommended setup is DIFF Input mode. This will provide a positive and negative reading for each channel. However, this will limit your channel count to 8 channels. If you are reading fewer than 8 channels, this is the recommended setup.

If you need to use 9 to 16 channels, you must use either RSE or NRSE. The difference is whether or not the grounds are tied to system ground, or simply shared at the same level (AISENSE). If you have a grounded signal, NRSE is required to prevent ground loops. If it is a floating signal, RSE is recommended since you will not have to use any bias resistors.

Hope this helps!
