How can I write a self test for a NI 4060 PCI DMM?

Hello to all,

I need help writing a self-test procedure for a National Instruments PCI DMM Card of model 4060.

All the info I could find was about acquiring data.

I need something that can tell me whether the card is present and operational.

I am currently using Labwindows/CVI 8.0

Hi Nissim,

There is a function to self test your DMM.  If you go to the DMM help file look under

DMM help » Programming With NI DMM » C/CVI/VB Reference » Functions » Utility » niDMM self test

That part of the help file will show you how to program a DMM self test function.  Please let me know if you need any further help with this issue.
