Did you mean:

single read to ISA bus generates mulpiple reads when running Internet Explorer

Windows 2000, LabVIEW 6.1, Custom ISA motherboard, Register level access of card. (program was written with In Port.vi, Out Port.vi, those two VIs are working well)

no I/O addr conflicts according to Win2000 control panel info.

Problem:
1. When Internet explorer is running, a single action (such as read A/D result ONCE from the card) by the program generates several/many repeated actions (as observed from osicilloscope) and the returned result is incorrect.

2. When program is running idle (no trigger to card by my labview program), click a link in internet explorer,several/many repeated actions/triggers are generated to the card (as observed by oscilloscope)

3. Also noticed
the speaker/sound symbol on PC screen is red-crossed-out after the card is installed and card access tried .

Without internet explorer running, the program works well except the sound symbol is still crossed out

Your response is highly appreciated!

We figured that it is the ISA board design problem.

It has been solved.

Thank you everyone.
