old 6025 needs warmup-phase - normal?

Hello,
i have a NI 6025E-Card which seems to have a defect.
The card is ~5 years old and massive in use.
The symptoms are:
When starting the computer after power-off over night the card measures a to high analog-in. After
a 30 minute warm-up phase everything is back normal.
The measurement is only wrong when the samplerate is to high. Means, the meanvalue of a measurement
with 20.000 samples/sec and 200 scans has the wrong result. But a measurement with 1000 samples/sec and 10 scans
is correct.
Is this the typical behaviour of a card getting old?

Thanks for tips

Without knowing absolute values it's a bit hard to tell if this behavior is normal or not. In general every data acquisition device needs some warm-up to reach the maximum accuracy as the calibration was also done at a certain operating temperature.

On the other hand the difference between measurements done with a cold board and with a warm board shouldn't be massive on a healthy device. So if you see significant differences here this indicates probably some defective units on your board. Please contact your local NI branch if you decide to send the board for repair. As the board is out of warranty you will get an estimate of cost before the board gets actually repaired.
