digital I/O with USB-6259

[MotorControl]

We have a UBS-6295 DAQ and a BNC adaptor for E/M/S serious called BNC-2110. 

We have a force measurement device which sends 8 channels of digital signals and I tried to use the digital input of the DAQ through this BNC-2110. I tried to define a digitan input in MAX but I have enounterd errors indicating the timing. I think I have a problem with Advanced Timing. I have to admit that I am very naive in electronics. Can anybody walk me through the steps of defining DI channels for this DAQ on MAX and what settings I have to have for Configuration and Advanced Timing.
