Which product should I buy

Solved!

Hi, I am new to Ni and their products. Currently I have been tasked to design a test stand and use Labview and a DAQ to display data and control the stand. currently I have 3 sensors with analog outputs (4-20 mA). I used the configurator tool and selected products i thought would work. Can someone verify that what i am purchasing is correct and compatible? See attached photo!

Thank you,

Image missing.

Your options to acquire signal from sensors with 0-20mA output are

  • NI-9253
  • NI-9208
  • NI-9203

In addition, you need a cDAQ chassis to use these c-series card with. If you foresee the need to extend more cards, I recommend getting a higher slot chassis. https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/category/compactdaq-chassis.html?productId=118191

Yeah, 9181 (1-slot ethernet chassis) + 9207 (500S/s 8 voltage/8 current input card) would work to collect data from 0-20mA current loop sensors.

Note that 9207 is not the best in specifications for sampling rate or accuracy but is a multi-functional card, check if those specifications work for your application.
