Unable to config DIO within a port in 6509

Hi ,

 Iam using PXI 6509 .

Iam using pin 1 in port 3 (p3.1) as digital output and pin 5 in port3 (p3.5) as digital input.

When i turn p3.1 high it is giving high as expected . But when try to read the pin P3.5 , pin P3.1 is going low from high state.(5V to 0.4V)

In the datasheet it is mentioned as bidirectional.

Is this the way the PXI 6509 behaves or it can be fixed.

Someone please give a solution to overcome  this.

Niju.

The 6509 is bidirectional but I believe it's on a port basis. In other words, all of port 3 has to be either input or output. If you want port 3 pin 1 as output, you would need to use a different port for input.
