For the USB-6509 and PCI-6509 ... I need to write to discrete outputs at an interval of less than 100 microseconds. Can either or both of these products support the required speed?
Nope. They are software timed, so you are limited by the speed of the computer. To get into that kind of speed, you are going to need a High Speed DIO where you load up waveforms or go with a FPGA board where the defined waveforms are calculated on the hardware via your FPGA load.
